Mens Silver Jewellery in Australia
Every one of these Australian mens silver rings reflects a philosophy of love that Robert Young has been developing over the course of his life as an artist. The entire collection of mens silver jewellery is an expression of love and connection. His trademark “love” signature began as a personal graffiti, which then transformed into one ring followed by many others. His design philosophy is often inspired by the lives of the people he makes jewellery for—people who have extraordinary stories and experiences. A twenty-year career as a sculptor and photographer also plays a strong influence in the types of pieces that are developed in his studio. Many of his designs experiment with modern curves and bold angles.
Every piece is designed, developed and finished in the Robert Young Sculpture gallery and workshop in Sydney, Australia. Old techniques and new technology come together in the creation process. Three-dimensional printers are used to create lost wax casts while traditional techniques using hand tools and bench jeweller skills are also employed. Once a piece emerges from the cast, it is cleaned, polished and finished with a hand cut inscription or engraving. The word “love” is hand cut with a very fine jewellery saw, which pierces from one side to the other—a technique that takes years of practice to perfect. An extraordinary level of care goes into each mens silver ring from start to finish.
